We choose not to keep a waitlist to reserve puppies before they are born. Instead, please subscribe to our Newsletter. Then you will get all the updates about available puppies! We open Pick Lists for specific litters to everyone subscribed to the Newsletter when puppies are around 5 weeks old. Read more about our system and subscribe on the “Adoption Process” page of the website.

We always keep the Planned Litters page of the website up to date. There you can see every litter we have planned for the year and when we expect that litter to be born. The litter’s planned size and expected colors are listed.
We also include any updates we have about that specific litter before it is born (like if a mamma has come into heat, we have confirmed pregnancy, etc.) If there are updates before puppies come, they will be posted there!

Our program covers a range of sizes from 25-70lbs. Generally our Minis are 25-45lbs, Mediums 40-55lbs, and Standards 50-70lbs. Height of the parent dogs is also something we take into consideration when giving a size category to a litter. The same weight can feel very different depending on how tall the dog is! The expected adult size is always listed for each litter on the Planned Litters page.
We do not guarantee adult sizes, and make the best guess we can based on the weight of parents and past puppies produced.

While we would love to accommodate, we do not allow in person visits. This is for several reasons.
We do not have a public facility with business hours, puppies are raised inside our home. Young puppies are not fully vaccinated (and therefore not protected ) from easily transmittable diseases until they are 16 weeks old. Some of those diseases are very easily carried in on shoes/clothes due to how on they survive in the soil. Each person that comes inside our home and around our puppies carries the risk of unintentionally bringing something in. This risks the health of our entire program because once on your property, these diseases are very hard to eliminate from your space. We take serious measures to avoid this happening in our personal day-to-day lives, and choose not to add additional risk by allowing in-person visits.
Most of our adult dogs live in guardian homes and by the time puppy selections begin, the puppies have already weaned and mammas have returned to their guardian family.
As shocking as it sounds, we have personal experience with a dog being stolen by someone coming to “see puppies”, and have heard similar horrible stories of theft and violence from other breeders. We are so grateful for everyone interested in our program and puppies, but at the end of the day you are just a stranger off the internet (said in the nicest way possible)! The safety of our dogs and our family is always our top priority!
For all of these reasons and more, Pick Day will be done only via video chat (Facetime/Google Meet), and we will meet at a public location for Go-Home Day pickup. We post lots of video updates on our Instagram page so you can see the puppies and adults “in action.” We are happy to provide vet references (our vet frequently comes to our home to care for our puppies and adult dogs) and previous puppy buyer references.

We rarely have puppies immediately available for adoption because they are almost always spoken for by people subscribed to our Newsletter. Read through the “Adoption Process” page of the website to better understand our system. If a puppies does become available last minute, they will be posted to the “Available Puppies” page of the website.

Puppies are raised in our home and around our busy family. We have 5 children always eager to help with puppies! This means they get frequent handling and exposure to all the sounds of household life.
We use a combination of many popular puppy raising techniques, including Puppy Culture and BAB, to form our puppy curriculum. These programs are designed to properly socialize puppies during their critical young age to give them the best start. This includes things like object/sound/ touch desensitization, introduction to crate training, and introduction to grooming.
Starting at 3 days old we begin ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation). Studies show that performing ENS has great benefits to the puppy all the way into their adult life. Some benefits include:
Improved cardio vascular performance
Stronger heart beats
Stronger adrenal glands
More tolerance to stress
Greater resistance to disease
We litter train all our puppies! This means that puppies have a designated potty area in their weaning pen. At 2-3 weeks old we start teaching them to use the potty area to eliminate. Normally by the time they are 8 weeks old puppies are eliminating only in the potty area! While this doesn’t mean that they are potty trained when they come home to you, it gets them off to a great start! They have learned there are designated areas for eliminating, making the transition to potty training easier and quicker for you. We have gotten great feedback from puppy buyers on how quickly their pup picked up potty training!

A Multigen Bernedoodle means that the puppy/dog’s parents are both Bernedoodles!
After several years of careful planning, we are happy to be at a place where we only produce Multigens in our program!
To us the ideal Multigen Bernedoodle has an incredible coat that is soft, wavy or straight, and very low to non-shedding. They have a blocky structure due to a more even percentage of both Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle (even leaning towards a bit more Bernese.) They are smart and eager to please their owners, and have the perfect mix of energy and laziness. It takes planning and careful breeding decisions to achieve this! Every litter we produce has this ultimate goal in mind.

Because our Newsletter is free, it has many many people subscribed who may never actually follow through with getting a puppy from us. So it is not possible for us to predict when you will be able to get a puppy based on when you subscribed.
We understand that the uncertainty of our system may not be the best fit for everyone. After trying many different systems of keeping a waitlist, moving to our Newsletter system has been the best fit for our family and the time we are able to commit to communicating with and managing interested families.
We are always fair when assigning pick spots for litters, and give priority to people based on how long they have been signed up for the Newsletter. So in a way it is very similar to keeping a waitlist with “moving up” the longer you wait, but with the added benefit of possibly being able to get a puppy sooner than expected. Visit the “Adoption Process” page of the website to read all about our system.

Health testing is an integral part of our breeding program! If a dog does not pass their health tests up to our standards, they are simply not used as a parent dog in our program!
DNA- Every parent dog in our program has a full Embark DNA Panel done. Embark offers the most comprehensive test for dogs, checking for over 242 genetically inheritable diseases! When needed for specific dogs, also preform additional DNA testing through other companies for a few diseases that Embark does not cover. Through these tests, all our parent dogs are “cleared” for testable genetic diseases, meaning they cannot pass them on to any offspring!
Hip Testing- We do a PennHIP test on all our prospective parent dogs! PennHIP is a well researched and proven scientific method of evaluating a dog’s hips and their likelihood of developing hip dysplasia later in life. It is considered the highest standard in hip testing!
We also sometimes preform OFA radiograph evaluations in addition to PennHIP. Before PennHIP was introduced, OFA evaluations were the gold standard. While it may no longer be the “highest standard” available hip testing option, it can still provides valuable evaluation of a dog’s hips.
Elbows, Heart, Patella: All our parent dogs receive an OFA certification, which is considered the highest standard certification for these areas.
Eyes: An OFA CAER eye exam is performed by a certified veterinary ophthalmologist. We have recently added this important test to our list of standards, and most of our parent dogs have had their eye certification done.

We accept cash at puppy pickup or electronic payments through Zelle.

Bernedoodles come in many beautiful colors and we have had just about all of them at some point! We always know what the possible colors are from a specific parent pairing before puppies are born, and that is posted on the Planned Litters Page. Though we know the possibilities for a litter, we can not predict ahead of time how many of each color will be born. See our “Bernedoodle Colors” page of the website to see what some of the different coat colors and patterns look like.

We have several great flight nannies that we have worked with in the past that we can get you in contact with. A flight nanny picks the puppy up from us at the airport, and then flies with them in cabin to your airport. You pick the puppy up from them curbside at the arrivals terminal.
We do not cover any flight nanny fees, which are typically around $650+. Puppy families are responsible for coordinating with the flight nanny to schedule travel arrangements.
Out of state owners can also fly to Denver International Airport to pick up their puppy themselves. We meet you at the airport, and then you fly home with your puppy in the cabin with you!
We do not ship puppies via air cargo. This includes shipping outside the US

Because we prefer to utilize a Guardian Home Program, we very rarely have retired adult dogs looking for homes.

Typical Bernedoodles need full professional grooming appointments about every 6 weeks. Your groomer will recommend frequency of appointments based on your dog’s coat texture, desired coat length, and lifestyle. These grooming appointments are in addition to consistent at home coat maintenance by you! Brushing multiple times a week and bathing/blow drying when necessary are an important part of properly caring for and loving your Bernedoodle! We have resources for grooming at home that we send home with puppy families.

F1- comes from two purebred parents. So an F1 Bernedoodle is a puppy from the cross between a Poodle and a Bernese Mountain Dog.
F1B- This is the result of taking an F1 Doodle and breeding it to one of the purebreds of the original cross. Most commonly the Poodle is chosen to increase the possibility of low shedding.
F1bb- This generation takes an F1b Doodle and breeds back to one of the purebreds of the original cross. Often the Poodle is chosen, just like with F1bs. However, coat genetics make it so that some breeders choose the non-poodle breed for this generation. The word “reverse” is often used in situations where the non-poodle purebred is crossed back to (“Reverse F1bb”).
F2- This is a F1 x F1 cross. Coat characteristics of F2s can vary. Pups can be similar to the F1 and F1b generation. You can also get unfurnished puppies in an F2 litter. Unfurnished pups do not have the classic doodle hair on their face, instead having looks and coat characteristics more similar to the non-poodle breed in the mix.
Multigen- A multigen generally refers to a puppy that results from breeding a Doodle to another Doodle (for example an F1 x F1b would be a Multigen).

No dog is truly “non-shedding” or 100% hypoallergenic, and we can not guarantee that your dog will be these things. What makes doodles different from many dogs is the poodle in them! Poodles do not have an undercoat, and their curly hair sheds minimally. When it does shed, the hair becomes tangled in the other hair around it instead of falling off their body. We have extensively studied coat genetics and make our breeding plans to give the best chances for low to non-shedding coats.

Each of our puppies is sold as a pet only on a strict spay/neuter contract. We do occasionally allow breeding rights to approved breeders. If you are interested in breeding rights, please contact us directly via email to discuss.
